THE STAR Thursday, August 9, 2001 POLICE BEAT A-6 industrial garage in the 12200 block of S. Division Street. 1 A man stole a microwave oven Aug. 5 from Walgreen Drugs, 12625 S. Western Ave.

The man ran out of the store with the microwave and then got into a car and drove off The right rear tire was stolen Aug. 3 off a car in the 12900 block of S. Gregory Street. Mario Turks, 30, Chicago, was charged with theft after he allegedly tried to steal eight video -tapes from Hollywood Video, 12601 S. Western police saicL After running out of the store Turks ran to a nearby alley where he was arrested by police, police said.

More $500 was. stolen Aug. 4 from a house in the 1900 block ofGrove Street. The rear door ofthe home had been kicked in to gain entry. More than $170 was stolen Aug.

4 from a house in the 12200 block of S. Washington Ave. Someone entered the house through a unlocked bathroom window. A DVD player was stolen Aug, 5 from a car in the 13600 block of South western Avenue. The passenger side window of the car had been broken out.

More than $150 was stolen Aug. 5 from a cashiers drawer at Blue Island Video, 12761 S. Western Ave. The cashier said that she did not know when the money was taken but believes a customer may have distracted her while another customer stole the money. Alsip A lawnmower, a portable radio, and two cles were stolen Aug.

3 from a garage in the 13000 S. Blossom Drive. There was no sign of forced entry into the garage, The license plates were stolen Aug. 3 off a 1994 Kawasaki motorcycle in the 12100 block of S. Cicero Avenue.

A cellular phone, and a set of golf clubs were stolen Aug. 3 from a jeep parked in the 12600 block of S. Kedzie Avenue. Ten cases of soft drinks were stolen Aug. 4 from Gas City, 12954 S.

Cicero Ave. Two men loaded the trunk of their car with the cases of drinks and then drove off closely after her car hit another vehioe Aug. 5 in a parking lot at 93rd Street and Nashville Avenue, police said. An Oak Lawn mans green 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 9:50 a.m.

on Aug. 5 in the 4700 block ofWest 92nd Street, police said. Palos Heights Krzysztof Kusper, 42, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use during a traffic stop July 29 in the 11900 block of Harlem Avenue, police said. Palos Park Kelly Alberts, 18, of 17176 Brushwood Lane, Orland Park, was charged with driving with a suspended license, open container of alcohol, improper lane use and driving with an expired registration after a traffic stop July 15 in the 12200 block of LaGrange Road, police said. Peter Dremonas, 19, of 11020 Valley Court, Palos Hdls, was charged with illegal possession of alcohol at a home in the 8800 block ofWest 120th Place, police said.

Patricia Deckinga, 42, of 351 Wheeler, Lemont, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after a traffic stop Aug. 1 at LaGrange Road and 86th Avenue, police said. Blue Island A fax machine, cellular phone, various tools, $375 in cash and $18 in coins were stolen July 30 from Blue Island Auto Glass, 13864 S. Western Ave. Someone entered the building from the roof A camera and a .38 caliber handgun were stolen July 30 from a apartment in the 11900 block of Irving Street.

The back door of the apartment had been forced open. A car radio was stolen July 31 out of a vehicle parked in the 2900 block of 127th Street. There were no sign of forced entry. Several power tools were stolen Aug. 3 from a Tinley Park Thomas Rispin, 36, of 9529 Minnick Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged Aug.

6 with driving with no valid drivers license and a suspended drivers license, police said. An employee of the Tinley Park Mental Health Facility was struck by a patient on Aug. 5. A woman being escorted by security at the Tweeter Center fled their grasp and attacked a woman on Aug. 3.

The suspect grabbed the womans hair, pushed her over a railing and tried to kiss her. Four hub caps were stolen from a car parked on the 18000 block of 66th Court on Aug 6. Matthew W. Moerle, 26, of Merrionette was charged with driving while license suspended on Aug. 4, police said.

A stereo was stolen from a car parked on the 16000 block of Harlem Avenue on Aug. 5. A bike was stolen from outside the Metra train station, located on the 17300 block of Oak Park Avenue, on Aug. 5. A purse was stolen from a car parked on the 7700 block of 159th Place on Aug.

4. Steven J. Sewiec, 18, of 17815 Iroquois Trace, was charged with drivirfg with a suspended license and possession of cannabis on Aug. 4, police said. Kevin P.

McErlean, 28, of 17525 Sandalwood, was charged with driving with a suspended license and no insurance on Aug. 5, police said. Michael Z. Somat, 21, of 15405 Gougar Road, Lockport, was charged with driving under influence, transportation of open alcohol and blocking an intersection on Aug. 2, police said.

Noreen A. Char, 37, of 7017 W. 99th Street, Chicago Ridge, was charged with improper lane usage, no seatbelt, driving under the influence and illegal transportation of alcohol on Aug. 1, police said. Two garbage containers were stolen from a home on the 7000 block of 170th Street on Aug, 4.

A car parked on the 9000 block ofTimberwood Lane had its windows shattered on Aug. 4. The windows of a car parked on the 18300 block of Greenleaf Court were broken on Aug. 4. Clothing and furniture were stolen from a home on the 6900 block of W.

167th Street on Aug. 3. Cash was stolen from a fast food restaurant on the 6800 block of 159th Street on Aug. 4. The thief apparently entered the restaurant by means of the drive-through window.

Orland Park Cory C. Livsey, 31, 17100 S. Longfellow Hazel Crest, was charged Aug. 5 with driving with a revoked license, no insurance and improper display of a license plate, according to police. In addition, Sophie F.

Aguilar, 41, 152 E. 24th Chicago Heights, was arrested on a warrant from South Chicago Heights for driving with a revoked license, police said. Livsey and Aguilar were arrested near the intersection of 159th Street and Park Hill Drive, police said. Timothy J. Labuda, 20, 13214 W.

Baywood Lockport, was charged Aug 3 with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. Labuda also was wanted on a warrant from Will County for no valid drivers license, police said. Labuda was arrested near the intersection of 143rd Street and Ravinia Avenue, police said. Richard V. Rouse, 70, 4525 W.

95th Oak Lawn, was arrested Aug. 2 on warrants from Orland Park for retail theft and McLean County for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license, according to police. Rouse was arrested in the 14900 block of Harlem Avenue, police said. Ethelyn J. Davis, 46, 2820 Dartmouth Lane, Olympia Fields, was charged Aug.

3 with retail theft, according to police. Davis was arrested following an incident at Marshall Fields, police said. Donna Procaccio, 40, 15830 Orlan Brook Drive, Orland Park, was arrested Aug. 6 on warrants from Cook County for driving under the influence and Orland Park for deceptive practice, police said. Spurlock, 21, 6821 W. 110th Worth, was charged July 29 with driving under the influence and reckless driving, according to police. Spurlock was arrested near the intersection of 151st Street and Will-Cook Road, police said. Wojciech Opacian, 37, 7325 Tiffany Drive, Orland Park, was charged Aug. 4 with driving with a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no flag on a projecting load, according to police.

Opacian also was wanted on a warrant from Orland Park for driving with a suspended license, police said. Opacian was arrested at his residence, police said. Jeremy M. Kavis, 27, 8821 Terry Drive, Orland Park, was charged July 20 with driving under the influence, improper turn and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, according to police. Kavis was arrested in the 14200 block of Clearview Drive, police said.

Mark A. Andersen, 21, of Lombard, and Jason C. Betancourt, 22, 93 18 W. 142nd Orland Park, were charged Aug. 4 with retail theft, according to police.

Andersen and Betancourt were arrested following an incident at Dominicks, police said. Otto G. Vivas, 19, 1621 W. Glen Lake and Roberto G. Vivas, 24, Queens, N.Y., were charged Aug.

4 with felony retail theft, battery and possession of a theft-detection shielding device, according to police. They were arrested following an incident at the Gap, police said. Oak Forest Roofing plywood, a screen door and lumber were stolen from several homes under construction in the 4700 block of Newberry sometime between Aug. 3 and 6, police said. Change, cassette tapes and a jacket were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 16000 block of Laramie Avenue on Aug.

James W. Janes, 30, Chicago, was charged with theft after allegedly stealing a purse from a picnic table Aug. 3 at the Oak Lawn Family Days festival at 94th Street and Oak Park Avenue, police said.

Daniel R. Prorok, 20, 7900 W. Palos Palos Park, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol following a traffic stop Aug. 4 at 95th Street and Meade Avenue, police said. Salvador L.

Ridge-land Chicago Ridge, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and illegal transportation of open alcohol after officers found him sleeping in his car Aug. 4 in the 4700 block of Southwest Highway, police said.
