The M State campus stores have the items you need to be prepared for class, including textbooks, computer software, tools, supplies and M State apparel! Check here for textbook purchasing information.

The campus stores also accept tuition and other payments to the college. Cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted. Regular operating hours for each store are listed below, and extended operating hours are offered during the first week of each semester.

FAQs

How can I sell my books?

Students can sell their books back anytime through the Book Buyback link. If you have questions, call or email your campus store.

*Spring Semester Book Buyback will be held in the Campus Stores from April 22nd-May 3rd.

How do I return my books if I am a PSEO student?

PSEO students will receive a letter from the college with information on how to return their college books. Please return your books as quickly as possible following your exams. If you have questions, email PSEO@minnesota.edu

How do I return my rented books?

All students who have rented textbooks will receive an email with information regarding rental returns. Rented books can be returned to any campus bookstore or mailed to:

How can I purchase my textbooks for summer term?

Summer booksales will start May 2ndand students can charge books to their account until June 7th.Books can be ordered after the charging period if purchased with a credit card. The only items that cannot be charged to a student account are food and clothing.

How can I charge to my account?

During the summercharging period (May 2nd-June 7th). You can charge to your student account by choosing “Financial Aid/PSEO/3rd Party Charging” in the credit card drop-down box at checkout.

How long will it take to get my books?

Shipping times vary. Orders are processed as they are received. When your books ship, you will receive an email with a UPS tracking number. If picking books up in person at a campus store location you will receive a text message when they are ready to be picked up.

What is an inclusive access book?

Inclusive access is available for select M State courses. If a class lists inclusive access as the book option, the required materials will be available electronically by following a link from the course in D2L Brightspace. The link is available one day prior to the start of the course. The cost of inclusive access is charged to your student account, and no purchase is necessary from the bookstore. The price for materials is lower than the normal purchase price. You do have the option to opt out of inclusive access. An opt-out function is available on the D2L Brightspace page through the first five days of the semester.

Will a used book be in good condition?

Used books may have some highlighting but are generally in good condition.

Are used books available for all classes?

We purchase as many used books as possible, but they are not always available for all classes.Once our used book stock is depleted, we will substitute new books.

Can I return my books for a refund?

Books can be returned for a refund by May 13thfor summer semester books. Purchases will not be refunded after thatdate. You will need your receipt to return a book.Books are not returnable if plastic shrink wrap has been removed.

Where can I find my student ID number?

When you log into your e-services, your ID number is located at the top right corner of the page.

The items that are required, optional or recommended for courses can be found:

1. Online, you can access the list from the Class Schedules page. Locate the course you are taking, and click on it. At the bottom of the page will be the current list of items that are required, optional or recommended for the course.

Student charging

In an effort to encourage student persistence and success, the M State Campus Store allows enrolled students to charge all of their textbooks and school supplies during the open charge period. Students will be able to charge apparel only if it is a requirement of their program.

Our goal is to help support student success by allowing our students to have their materials on the first day of their courses.

When to purchase books

Books will be available three weeks prior to the semester's start. If you would like to charge to your student account, the charge period begins three weeks before the semester starts and ends the first week of class. For semester charge periods or other important dates, visit M State's Business Services website.

How to purchase your books

You can purchase books for all courses through your SpartanNet account.

To purchase your books:

  • Log in to your SpartanNet account
  • Scroll down to "Your Class Schedule"and click "Buy Your Books"
