Good Morning!
I am writing at my wife's insistence though, I too feel compelled to write. After a long wait and growing anxiety (for the cost and worry that this char would prove to be as uncomfortable as the many others I have tried) my chair arrived in perfect condition at 6:45 AM on, I believe, a Friday morning. Of course the urethane wafted up at me, the chair being newly finished. It is a smell I have loved for a long time. My father was a furniture maker and even I have tried my hand at it. The smell was old and familiar and brought many memories of good times past. I must say that I am shocked by how expensive fine furniture is but at the same time I understand that there is far more than meets the eye that goes into crafting such a piece. In the light of day I was thoroughly impressed by not just the craftsmanship in this chair but also by the quality of the wood and, of course, the finish. Clearly this chair was built by caring and dedicated hands! As for comfort, what can I say. From the first moment settling into this chair my back (the subject of surgery that allowed me to walk again) relaxed. This is the only chair that I've sat in that I can stay still without discomfort for hours. Reading is a true pleasure once again because I don't have to fidget to find a spot in which I can escape the pain. We bought this chair in hopes that it would fill a need. We were not looking for a showpiece or anything other than something that I could sit in comfortably. It filled that need splendidly. But in doing so it created a new need. We now want all of our furniture to be your furniture! This is furniture bought for all time. In a world saturated with throwaway goods you are creating legacies. This furniture reminds me of the furniture my grandparents had and which I still have. It will be here generations from now. I might wear out the upholstery but I most certainly will never wear out the chair. And who would want to? Every time I sit in this chair it brings me pleasure. And though it is mine and made available to me whenever I want it, I must say that I catch the rest of my family enjoying it when I must be elsewhere working. So why did my wife insist that I write to you? It probably goes without saying that she is as wowed by this chair as I am and she is eager to give much deserved praise when it is earned--especially when so few durables are available at any price that deserve unbridled praise. I look forward to buying more of your furniture in the future.

The furniture arrived on the scheduled day and all went well. The
delivery men assembled the loveseat and brought it inside the house.
We're pleased with the three pieces, all the wood stains match and the
fabric pattern was properly aligned between the cushions.Once we use the loveseat a little longer I'll comment on the function and comfort of the seating and the reclining mechanism.

Note to anyone thinking about buying fine furniture through Cabinfield:
My wife and I have purchased nine major pieces of furniture from Amish craftsmen through Cabinfield, and we have been delighted with each piece. We appreciate fine wood and the craftsmanship of fine joinery and finishes, and we have a very critical eye for both materials and workmanship. We ordinarily would not think of buying anything without careful inspection, but we had purchased a beautifully made platform rocker and footstool in a shop in Indiana, and we noticed the same piece from a Cabinfield craftsman’s catalog. We first ordered a couple of beautiful small solid cherry tables, and were sold. There is no army of middlemen to inflate the costs and dilute value. It is really a win-win for all. Pieces are made to order, and one can specify the woods and finishes and even custom dimensions. Even very much more expensive pieces in furniture stores do not compare in terms of real quality. The pieces we have gotten should last for generations. The customer service interface at Cabinfield is personal and outstanding also.
